Does joining guarantee work?
No. UKCMS does not sell leads or guarantee work. Our aim is to improve visibility for competent organisations and help the public identify businesses committed to raising standards.
Can anyone become a Verified Professional?
No. Verified Professional status is only awarded to organisations that successfully meet the UKCMS Verification requirements.
Can I join if I'm a sole trader?
Yes. Membership is open to organisations of all sizes.
What's the difference between a Registered Member and Verified Professional?
Registered Membership provides an enhanced profile, access to member benefits and eligibility to apply for verification. UKCMS Verified status recognises organisations that have successfully completed the UKCMS Verification process and allows them to display the UKCMS Verified Professional designation.
How long does the verification process take?
To become verified, applicants will be invited to submit evidence of their relevant training, qualifications and certifications, together with a portfolio covering their five most recent projects. All documents and project evidence must be appropriately redacted before submission. Information provided will be treated confidentially and used solely for the purposes of UKCMS’s internal verification process.
How long does membership last?
Membership is renewed annually. Verification may also require periodic review to maintain standards.
